Every Christmas eve, my family gets together to celebrate the holidays. SInce we have a small picture taking session by the Christmas tree, we like to dress up and pretend that we’re living the “Gossip Girl” lifestyle.
I usually attend the parties in red or emerald green, but this year I want to celebrate in different fashion: White Christmas theme.

A Birkin bag wouldn’t be anything without Jane Birkin. Her English by way of France background lends itself to her perfectly nonchalant European style – she could look glamorous or feminine without looking like she tried. Her wardrobe staples included knitted turtlenecks, short hemlines, knee-high socks, subtle gold necklaces, classic tailored blazers and peacoats, and the occasional shockingly flirtatious frock. To make your wardrobe a little more like this style icon’s, you don’t have to shell out thousands for a Birkin bag. Just invest in some basics (think t-shirts, chunky knitted tops, tailored shorts, winter outerwear) that are timeless and flatter your body. Then add a couple things that are signature you: a memorable haircut, maybe rolling up your t-shirt sleeves, or a certain fit of pants like skinny or 70s-flared.
